Task description: 

We are looking for a

Finance and Contract Manager (m/f) with potential for Project Manager (m/f)

to start as soon as possible in our Rural Development and Environment Department in Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt am Main).

From our headquarters we manage our worldwide projects and continuously acquire new ones. As Finance and Contract Manager (m/f) you will be responsible for the entire commercial project handling, from the preparation of financial budgets to the final invoicing. While doing this, you are the contact person for our experts working for us abroad and you advice your internal technical counterparts in all commercial questions.

Your tasks

  • Being in charge of all commercial tasks for the assigned projects in close cooperation with the internal technical counterpart
  • Preparation of financial bids and project calculations for projects in acquisition phase
  • Drafting resp. checking contracts with clients, partners and subcontractors and, if necessary, support with contract negotiations
  • Preparation of contracts with experts and project staff
  • Continuous financial monitoring of the assigned projects, budget control
  • Proper billing and preparation of invoices
  • Contact person for experts and project staff in contractual and financial questions
  • In the future, in terms of career development, comprehensive project management as Project Manager in charge during implementation phase
  • A commercial background (academic degree or vocational education) OR a relevant academic degree related to natural resources and international cooperation combined with a proven flair for numbers
  • Experience with project management, ideally related to GIZ or KfW projects or in the field of international cooperation
  • Business fluent in English and a good command of French; Spanish and German language skills would be an asset
  • Sound user knowledge of standard MS Office Tools, especially with MS Excel; experience with accounting or ERP software would be an asset
  • Willingness to travel and to spend some time abroad, in development and transition countries
  • Proven ability to work in a team
