The project will initiate close cooperation between representatives of the Kyrgyz economy (enterprises) and selected providers of further training in order to make the training programmes more responsive to the demands of the workplace. The activities in this regard are part of the overall strategy, “sustainable economic development”, of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. Selected public and private training providers are provided with new curricula of a modular structure. Besides this, the German side will support the training providers with facilities to ensure the quality of the training courses. As a result of this intervention, the ability of the students to find an adequate job in the Kyrgyz economy should be enhanced.

Project details

Activities: 

- Advising the MLSP, its employment offices and national and private training providers on the establishment of a system of further training that meets the needs of the industry as well as the needs of the employees/unemployed; - Supporting the training providers to design and conduct demand-driven further training courses in the field of welding and commercial issues; - Establishing a certification system for such courses in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC); - Furthering a social dialogue in the field of further training; - Conducting labour market needs analysis - Monitoring and evaluation.
