| Task description: |
Work with the countries for each of their thematic working groups (WGs) to assist in the organisation and implementation of the work of the WG, identification of priorities and of short term experts needed to address these priorities, organisation of workshops (including agendas and contents of papers/presentations), training courses, and technical assistance missions to individual countries, on subjects treated by the WG. Work closely with the assigned National Co-ordinators, and ensure synergies with other working groups. A full coverage per priority sector and per Neighbourhood South country/territory will be needed. Frequent travel to Neighbourhood South countries/territories and EU Member States (subject to COVID-19 developments). |

| Qualifications: |
University Degree in economics, statistics or related field, preferably completed by post-graduate studies either at Master’s or PhD level, or equivalent experience Full command of written and spoken English and French. Knowledge of Arabic will be an asset. General professional experience: Minimum of 10 years overall experience in project-related management and implementation required Specific professional experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in compiling statistics in one of the following sectors: business statistics, energy statistics, transport statistics, labour statistics or migration statistics Experience in statistics for one of the other sectors would be an asset For the area of business statistics: Minimum of 5 years' experience in working with business registers; experience in trade and balance of payments statistics would be an asset Experience in aid cooperation projects required, preferably in the ENP-South region Management experience in an aid development project is an asset Long-term work experience in one of the institutions of the NSSs of the Partner Countries is an asset |
